Holly & Declan
Holly and Declan are a sweet couple that clearly loves each other. They are super close to their families and desired deeply to honour their loved ones as they tied the knot. Their excitement in preparing for their beautiful day was contagious! To be part of their Hawkstone Hall winter wedding was a real joy to me.
We had a pre-wedding photoshoot session at Hawkstone Hall where we had fun creating memories in the luxurious wedding venue they had chosen.
During our pre-wedding photoshoot session, I noticed how willing they were to create beautiful pictures, and how easy it was to work with them. So, it was just the same when we were doing their Hawkstone Hall wedding photography and videography: Holly and Declan enjoyed every moment of their day while being open to working with me to capture beautiful moments of their luxurious wedding.
A Sweet Moment to Remember
Holly got ready with her bridesmaids in the beautiful Hawkstone Hall Brontë Suite. Her elegant soft colour make-up pallet, her timeless jewellery, and her beautiful hair were the perfect complement for her stunning winter wedding gown. I wanted to capture every detail, and I love how classic and beautiful Holly looked on her big day.
It was an honour to photograph the emotional moment when her dad first saw Holly wearing her winter wedding gown, ready to say “I do”. To be present when they embraced, and to capture the tears in their eyes, was one of the sweetest moments for me as their Hawkstone Hall wedding photographer, and one I will treasure in my own heart.
When love overflows
I got a sense that, from the start, Holly and Declan wanted to share their day, and make it not only about themselves. Hawkstone Hall was chosen to be their UK Luxury wedding venue, and the several spaces it offers were key to creating a sense of welcome for their guests. About Hawkstone Hall & Gardens, Holly said: "We love how there are rooms for each occasion throughout the day, so our guests are constantly wowed and experiencing new surprises!"
Family is forever
Holly and Dec used the space so elegantly, and I was delighted to see that their concern wasn’t only with creating a beautiful space but to include touches that demonstrated their love for their family.
In the foyer, they had a selection of iris flowers in loving memory of Holly’s grandmother, completed with beautiful pictures of Holly’s relatives that have passed away and sadly couldn’t be present on their beautiful day.
The couple also wrote handwritten messages to their guests (most of them staying in the rooms at Hawkstone Hall) and gave each guest a custom gold resin coaster and a favour box containing a selection of chocolates.
They also had shawls for the ladies – to be cosy and warm on this perfect Hawkstone Hall winter wedding, and to enjoy the epic fireworks at the end of the day – flip-flops for hurting feet and even personalised umbrellas in case it would rain! Wonderfully thoughtful!
Surrounded by the beauty of roses
Hawkstone Hall is such a fantastic UK luxury wedding venue, and Holly and Declan used it beautifully as their canvas, to create a day filled with touching details, and unforgettable moments. Being their Hawkstone Hall wedding photographer was a privilege, as I captured every detail of stunning decor.
“Being Holly's favourite flowers, roses were at the heart of the florals throughout the day; from the perfect dome of white roses she carried to the full flower arch in the chapel."”
Every space was tastefully decorated, full of beautiful details, and the crystals and candles perfectly matched the flowers, completed with elegant hints of sparkle as a lovely nod to the Christmas season. All worked together flawlessly to complement the grand rooms of Hawkstone Hall with elegance and grace.
SURPRISE!
Eternalised in the winter sun
After their moving ceremony, all the guests were photographed by the magnificent Hawkstone Hall front steps, under the golden tones of the winter sun, that shone all day. The snow had fallen the night before, and the grounds looked magical covered in white, and I love the smiles and looks we captured for their Hawkstone Hall wedding video.
Hawkstone Hall Winter Garden
The group photos of family and loved ones are really important to me as a wedding photographer. Those are the pictures the couple will share and put up around their house, those are the smiles and looks they will love to remember. Holly and Declan picked the steps of Hawkstone Hall Winter Garden to eternalise the day with those they love the most, and its timeless feel was the perfect space to create the photos that will be looked at and cherished by this family for many years to come.
Full of sparkle and light
Holly and Declan finished their big day with epic fireworks that lasted 5 minutes, covering the frozen Hawkstone Hall grounds with light and colour. Their guests participated in this picture-perfect moment having fun with their sparkles, while bride and groom fully immersed themselves in the experience.
“I am so glad that Holly and Declan could be so present throughout their day, enjoying every moment with their friends and family and everything they had prepared for their loved ones, while we took care of their Hawkstone Hall wedding photography and videography. This is one of the most gratifying parts of being a wedding photographer: I take care of capturing all the sweet, emotional, romantic moments of the wedding, so bride and groom can fully immerse themselves in the day’s experience.”
